A gorgeous sunset paints the sky.
The birds chirp a soft melody, perched upon pine trees lit with golden light. The lush, green surroundings give off an air of peace. The rushing water of the river in the middle of it all adds to a lulling tranquility.
You can hear a crackling fire somewhere in the distance, and little huts dot the skyline. The air is filled with chatter as the silhouettes of seven people up in the distance dance around.

You've just stumbled across a very special village nestled in the mountains! Called The Diamond Village by its inhabitants, this cozy corner of the world is home to some very special villagers.
Today, I have the honor of introducing one of them...Sitara, the village artisan. She's got a very unique personality and I can't wait for her to meet all of you. *glances up* She's here already...let's go!

Reading is officially defined as:
"the action or skill of reading written or printed matter silently or aloud." But that definition is lacking so much of the lovely magic of reading: the magic that is the reason for our smiles and our late night lights, the magic that makes us turn the page each and every day and fangirl over fictional characters, the magic that causes us to start thought-provoking discussions and write heartfelt reviews.
The truth is, reading has a different connotation for everyone. To some, it is an action they cannot live without...and to others, it is a dreaded task they must do for a set amount of time each day.

all the pictures in this post were taken by me! |
So the question to think about is not "what does reading mean", but "what does reading mean to you?"
To answer this question, I'll have to go back in time to the very first couple of series that got me into reading, and then explore my journey through time and books. So join me today and let's figure out why the flames burn behind our passion for reading...
you hold the tiny shard
of glass in front of
you
in front of those
deep brown eyes that hold
all of the memories
all of the summer days that we
spent together,
the days
with your hands clasped in mine, your face covered with glitter
your smile matching the intensity
of my own
